In 2013, YÉOL created the “Young Craftsman Award” to recognize promising young craftsmen. The prize is aimed at expanding the field of craftsmanship by encouraging young talents to develop new perspectives on traditional craftsmanship, as well as exploring new applications.

Retaining the glow of the sea, mother-of pearl permeates metal while drawing circles. After Guemtaechil (high temperature technique), a lacquer is applied to the sturdily made metal. The lacquerware work is completed by the Keuneumjil technique - cutting pieces of mother-of-peal and adhering then on the surface one by one like a stich while drawing circles as if setting jewels.
